Posted: 2021-05-04 Filed under: misc, slackbuilds | Tags: github, slackalaxy, slackbuilds, slackware current Leave a commentWell, I finally took the time to set up a GitHub repo (https://github.com/slackalaxy). Chrome support for ftp sites
Posted: 2021-05-01 Filed under: network | Tags: flags, ftp, google chrome Leave a commentI’ve been updating my SlackBuilds for -current and noticed something quite strange. WPS Office v11.* dictionary
Posted: 2021-04-03 Filed under: office | Tags: dictionary, libreoffice, spellcheck, WPS Office 9 CommentsI noticed that an old post of mine about adding dictionaries to WPS Office, has been receiving some attention recently. I quickly checked the links and it seems they are dead, also the file paths listed there no longer apply for WPS Office v11. Therefore, I decided to check how to add dictionaries to version 11.
EDIT (27 May 2023): check this much more recent post of mine, as well as the ready to use dictionaries at GitHub.

I am using -current, but the SlackBuild just repackages the binary provided from upstream, anyway. I followed the post-install instructions but the program won’t start.

I looked around and it seems that Seahorse is a good choice for Xfce. There’s Seahorse available on SBo, so I installed it. Things did not work as expected out-of-the-box… for example Chrome kept prompting me for passwords that was driving me nuts.
