My laptop has an Intel video card and an HDMI port, that I want to use for audio signal output, as well. Unfortunatelly, sound over HDMI does not work out-of-the-box, so I searched for a solution. There are good instructions at the Arch Linux Wiki. Read the rest of this entry »

I do not particularly like the standard folders that are automatically created in my $HOME

I have been using the 4.3 version of Skype for several months already, with PulseAudio and its compat packages installed. However, I experienced problems with some audio programs. XMMS would crash regularly and Clementine would refuse playing. Read the rest of this entry »
