Disable automatic updates check in Zotero

Despite that I am the current maintainer of the program at SBo, I cannot immediatelly provide an update of its SlackBuild, when a new version comes out.
Annoyingly, Zotero would insist on showing a notification that a new version is available, offering to update the installation. Since, it is installed system-wide and I am running it as a regular user, this is not something I would do. I searched a bit and found a quick explanation of how to disable this behaviour.
Open the program and go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced. Now click the Open about:config button in the Preferences window:
Then change the following two settings to false
:
app.update.auto
app.update.enabled
That’s it.
