Make Grub find a Windows partition

I have Linux installed on sda and Windows 10 installed on sdb. Both disks are EFI and I want to make Grub add Windows to the boot menu.

Disk partition labels

That’s something I never had the habit of doing… labeling my disk partitions. However, I’d like to make things a bit easier to remember. After searching a bit, I came up with the following. I was doing a fresh install of Slackware and was going to format the partitions anyway.

EFI and Grub

I’ve been tinkering with a Lenovo ThinkCentre M80Q. I disabled secure boot and since there is no legacy mode in the BIOS, I decided that it’s time to install Slackware with EFI. However, after the install was done, ELILO failed to boot the OS. So, I decided to use Grub.

ELILO dual boot

I use a computer that has to have Linux and Windows 10 installed in parallel. Windows came pre-installed and requires UEFI… Therefore I went through Slackware’s instructions “To use UEFI, or not to use UEFI?” before installing Slackware. I told the installer to use ELILO and upon reboot, the system booted straight to Slackware. I installed Slackware -current, but that’s a separate story… Now I want to have the option to dual boot Windows and Linux.
